Estadio Azteca

Arrive 2-3 hours early. The Azteca is a football cathedral - soak in the history. Be prepared for altitude (2,200m) - drink plenty of water and take it easy.

Limited parking - use Uber or Metro. The Tren Ligero from Tasquena station drops you right at the stadium. Traffic around the stadium is intense.

Authentic Mexican street food outside the stadium is excellent and affordable. Try tacos, tortas, and aguas frescas. Inside stadium food is more expensive.

Coyoacan neighborhood is charming with Frida Kahlo Museum. Xochimilco floating gardens are 20 min away. Centro Historico has Aztec ruins and colonial architecture.

Stay in Roma, Condesa, or Polanco neighborhoods - safe, vibrant, and great dining. Coyoacan near the stadium is also lovely. Avoid staying too far south.
